How our lessons work

Learning online has never been easier.

At The Drama Place, every lesson is delivered live via Zoom, allowing children and young people from anywhere in the world to access professional coaching from the comfort of their own home.

All you need is a laptop or tablet, a reliable internet connection and a quiet space where your child can feel comfortable to learn, explore and perform. Most online LAMDA providers recommend a quiet space, a device with a camera and microphone, and enough room to move if needed, as this helps children get the most from their sessions.

Step One — Book Your FREE Discovery Session

This relaxed online session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another.

We'll discuss your child's interests, previous experience and goals, answer any questions you may have and recommend the pathway that's right for them.

There is no pressure or obligation—just a chance to discover whether The Drama Place is the right fit for your family.

Step Two — Choose Your Lesson Package

Lessons are booked in blocks, giving your child consistency and a regular weekly lesson time.

Once your booking is confirmed, you'll receive your lesson day and time, Zoom link and everything you need to get started.

Your weekly lesson time is reserved especially for your child.

Step Three

Weekly Online Lessons

Every lesson is completely personalised.

Some children arrive dreaming of becoming actors.

Others simply want to become more confident speaking in front of others.

Every session is tailored to your child's age, personality, experience and individual goals.

A typical lesson may include:

  • Warm-up games and confidence-building activities

  • Voice and vocal technique

  • Acting and character development

  • Public speaking and presentation skills

  • Script and text work

  • Creativity and imagination exercises

  • Performance coaching

  • LAMDA examination preparation

  • Reflection and personalised targets

No two lessons are ever exactly the same — every session is shaped around your child's individual needs, goals and progress.

No pressure. No intimidating auditions. No expectation to be "good at drama."

We simply meet your child where they are, celebrate every success and help them grow in confidence, one lesson at a time.
